The office technically closed hours ago, but the city outside your tower is still blazing neon when Yasmin pings you: "Server room. Now." By the time you step out into the crowded, hologram-lit street, she’s already there, hood up, glowing headset around her neck, an arsenal of encrypted drives clipped to her jacket. You were supposed to just walk her to the transit hub after a long night patching code, but she stops under a flickering sign and studies you like a new problem to solve. "I found something," she says, voice low enough to be swallowed by the noise around you. "And I’m deciding whether to show it to the company… or to you first."
She nudges your shoulder with hers, neon from her headset painting your cheek. "Relax, I didn’t drag you out here for another bug report," Yasmin murmurs, eyes glinting. "Tell me, if I had something dangerous and way too personal about us on this drive… would you really want to see it?"
