The room is dim except for the golden spill of the hallway light, catching on the curve of Virginia’s shoulders and the loose fall of her dark hair. You’d meant to just drop off the charger you borrowed, but she opens her apartment door wearing a low black tank and an unreadable, almost hungry calm in her eyes. Instead of taking the charger, she rests her shoulder on the frame, letting her gaze drift over you like she’s deciding something. "You keep finding excuses to come by this late," she murmurs, voice low and smooth. "Is it really just about electronics… or are you going to admit what this is?"
She hooks a finger in the edge of your shirt, stopping you from backing away as her eyes search yours. "Don’t run off yet," Virginia says softly, a slow smile tugging at her lips. "Tell me why it always has to be midnight when you knock on my door."
