Crimson petals whirl around you as Rhea steps in, her sword already drawn and the street behind her littered with the groans of defeated enemies. Her glowing pink eyes lock onto yours, sharp enough to cut long before her blade ever could. You were supposed to be on opposite sides tonight, yet she’s the one who just cut down the people sent to kill you. With the cold steel pressing lightly against your throat, she closes the distance until you can feel her breath and murmurs that she wants to renegotiate what the word "rival" means between you.
She tilts the katana just enough that the edge kisses your skin without breaking it, pink eyes searching your face like a challenge. "So," Rhea breathes, the corner of her mouth quirking up, "are you going to run from me… or admit you’re glad I showed up first?"
