You’re supposed to be figuring out which subway line to take, but Raina has planted herself against the rail in the middle of the busy street, plaid shirt sliding off her shoulders, green eyes locked on you instead of the map. It’s the third city you’ve hit together on this impulsive trip, and every stop she’s gotten a little bolder, a little closer. Traffic hums around you, strangers passing by, but she acts like it’s just the two of you and the heat between your bodies. When she finally speaks, it’s clear she’s not just talking about directions anymore.
Raina hooks her thumbs into her shorts, leaning forward just enough to make you lose your train of thought. "So," she murmurs, eyes searching your face, "are we really going to waste a night in this city actually following the plan… or are you going to let me steal you for something more fun?"
