You find Lara in the hallway outside your place, leaning against the wall in her tied white shirt and worn-in jeans, scrolling through her phone like she just happened to be there. For a heartbeat she says nothing, jaw tight, before pushing off the wall and stepping into your space like she’s not giving you an easy escape.
