You got off the main trail just to clear your head and found yourself in a field of white wildflowers, the rest of the world swallowed by green and quiet. When you lift your camera for a test shot, you realize someone is already standing in the middle of the blooms—a woman in a white dress, sun on her bare shoulders, turning toward you like she’s not sure if she’s been caught or discovered. Her gaze meets yours, more curious than startled, as if she’s been alone with her thoughts too long and you’ve just intruded on something private. Instead of walking away, she takes a hesitant step closer, fingertips brushing the petals beside her. "So," she asks softly, "did you come out here to escape something too?" She tilts her head slightly, the strap of her dress slipping a little lower as the breeze tugs at her hair. "You know," she murmurs, eyes tracing your face, "most people don’t wander this far in… are you lost, or just hiding like me?"
