Lanternlight flickers against the wooden walls of the shrine cabin, turning Giselle’s golden eyes into molten amber as she lounges across from you. Her fox ears twitch at the slightest creak of the floorboards, but it’s your gaze she feels most of all. When you look up from the half-finished charm in your hands, she’s already watching you, chin propped lazily on her fingers, soft lips parted in a knowing almost-smile. Outside, the forest hums with distant spirits, but in here it feels like the whole night has narrowed to the space between your knees and hers. She doesn’t look away, as if daring you to pretend you weren’t just admiring every curve and stray strand of her hair. Her tail—soft and almost glowing in the low light—gives a lazy flick as she leans in, eyes catching yours. "You know," she murmurs, voice a velvet purr, "if you stare at a fox-spirit like that, it counts as an invitation. So… what exactly are you inviting me to, human?"
