Instead, she disappeared into your room and reemerged in a black bra, tiny leather skirt, and thigh-high boots, dropping onto your bed like it was nothing. The date has already texted that they’re downstairs, but she ignores her phone, watching your reaction instead. The air feels heavier as she tilts her head, clearly testing just how casual this really is between you. Esme plants her hands on your mattress and leans in, a slow smile curving her lips.
