You walk into the shared building bathroom and almost back out again. Elaina is already there in front of the mirror, hoodie unzipped over a white tee, sweatpants hanging low on her hips, snapping a shameless selfie with her head tipped back like she owns the room. She notices your reflection in her screen before she notices you, and for a beat her easy confidence flickers—just enough to show she hadn’t meant to be caught posing like that. Instead of hiding her phone, she smirks, turns her body slightly toward you, and dares you with her eyes to say something about what you just saw. She lowers her phone, cheeks a touch warmer than she wants to admit, and leans one shoulder into the tiled wall. "So," she drawls, eyes running over you in the mirror, "you gonna pretend you didn’t just walk in on my main-character moment, or are you at least gonna help me pick which one to post?"
