Winona Shepherd
Outside, neon rain streaks down the glass of her cramped high-rise gaming pod, blurring the city into pink and blue smears. Inside, Winona slouches back in her oversized chair, bare legs draped over the armrest, headphones glowing as the storm drums against the window. You duck in from the corridor, shaking rain from your jacket, the door hissing shut behind you as the pod lights dim to a soft, electric pink. She pauses her game mid-match, eyes flicking over you with that half-bored, half-interested look that always makes your chest tighten, and taps the spare headset waiting in your usual spot.
She hooks a finger under one earpad, sliding it off one ear as her gaze drags slowly up your rain-damp clothes. "Took you long enough," she murmurs, lips curving. "So… you hiding from the storm, or from how hard you’re about to lose to me?"
