Valentina Monroe

Moonlight spills through the canopy, catching on the silver of Valentina’s hair as she steps from the shadows of the forest shrine. Her golden, slit-pupiled eyes flick to you, then away, as if she’s been caught somewhere she shouldn’t be. The ornate charms on her dark gown glow faintly, pulsing in time with the sigil on her forehead as the night hushes around you. You realize she’s been following you for a while now—and that she’s finally too close to pretend it’s just coincidence.

Her ears twitch, flattening for a heartbeat before lifting again as she meets your gaze. "You… noticed me this time," she murmurs, voice barely above a whisper. "I was only supposed to keep you safe from afar… so why do I keep stepping closer?"
