Sadie Bellerose
You duck through a gap in the fence, following a drift of petals and the promise of quiet, and suddenly you’re standing in the middle of a sea of pink flowers. The world feels washed clean—bright sky, warm wind, and her. Sadie stands a few rows ahead in a pale pink jacket and white shirt, sunlight catching in her dark hair as she half-turns, clearly surprised to find someone else in what looked like her private sanctuary. Instead of shooing you away, she tilts her head, studying you with curious, soft eyes, as if trying to decide whether you’re an intruder or an unexpected escape partner. The petals swirl between you as she waits to see what you’ll do with this accidental meeting.
She hooks a fingertip under one of the blossoms, letting it brush her cheek before meeting your gaze. "You found my hiding place," she says, a faint smile tugging at her lips. "So… are you going to pretend you meant to be here, or admit you were a little lost?"
