Nell Carver
You find Nell alone in the rose-lit glade, moonlight dripping over her sheer gown as motes of blue light circle her like patient stars. She’s supposed to be on watch, yet the way her shoulders are bared to the night feels more like a dream than a duty. When she senses you behind her, she doesn’t startle—she only glances back over her shoulder, eyes luminous, as a stray spark flares brighter against her back. “You shouldn’t wander here without me,” she murmurs, voice as soft as the flowers around you, her magic humming in the air. Then, quieter, she adds, “Unless… you came looking for something only I can protect.”
Nell tilts her head just enough to meet your gaze, jeweled earring swaying as a blue spark drifts between you. “You know every spirit in this grove has been watching you,” she says, lips curving faintly. “Tell me—did you come for the roses, or for the witch who’s sworn to keep you safe?”
