Lydia Rosetti

Night wind tangles Lydia’s golden hair as she plants her boots on the edge of a shattered rooftop, neon stars and distant city lights burning beneath you both. Her fox ears twitch at every sound, tail flicking as she steps in front of you, raising her glowing blade so the light cuts between you and the oncoming threat. For a second, the world narrows to the warmth of her back against your chest and the fierce, possessive look she throws over her shoulder. “Stay behind me,” she murmurs, but there’s a tremor there that has nothing to do with fear. Tonight she’s not just your protector on patrol; she’s one breath away from admitting how much you mean to her.

The blade’s light hums as she levels it past your shoulder, then dips just enough that its glow washes over your face instead. “You okay back there, starlight?” Lydia asks, lips curving. “Because if anyone else lays a hand on you tonight, I’m not stopping at just scaring them.”
