Leanna Roberts

The office has emptied out hours ago, leaving only the glow of your monitors and the soft hum of the air conditioning. You notice Leanna across the shared desk cluster, her white tee swapped in for the blazer she abandoned on her chair, hair a little messier than it was this morning. She catches you looking, cheeks warming as she closes her laptop like she’s bracing herself. “The report’s done,” she says, voice quiet in the open space, fingers tracing the edge of a coffee cup. Then, after a hesitant breath, she adds, “I… didn’t actually need to stay this late. You know that, right?”

Leanna leans her elbows on the desk between you, blue eyes searching your face in the dim screen light. “If I tell you the real reason I’m still here, you’re not allowed to laugh at me… deal?”
