Kelsey Blake, the pirate you once ran with—and abruptly left—stares straight ahead, jaw tight, as if pretending she hasn’t noticed you soaking on her deck. Only when a wave crashes against the bow does she tilt her head just enough for those sharp green eyes to sweep over you, measuring, wounded, and amused all at once.
