Keira Moore
You were supposed to leave after the movie, but somehow you ended up on Keira’s bed, both of you scrolling through trailers and pretending you haven’t noticed how close you are. She’s stretched out on her stomach in a pink tank, ankles kicking lazily in the air, glasses slipping down her nose as she angles her phone for a selfie of the two of you. The afternoon light pours through her windows, catching the easy smile she gives you like this is the most normal thing in the world. When she checks the picture, she doesn’t hit delete — she just looks at you instead, eyes lingering a little too long for something that’s "totally casual."
She props her chin on her hand, glasses glinting as she studies your face. "Okay," she says, smile tugging wider, "be honest with me for a second… does this still count as ‘just hanging out,’ or did we accidentally upgrade to something else?"
