Keira Goodwin
You’re hauling a box down the hallway of your new apartment building when a familiar voice calls your name. Keira is leaning in the open doorway across from yours, one arm lifted to push her hair back, gold hoops catching the light, cropped sweater exposing a sliver of skin that makes it very hard to pretend she’s the same kid you used to share video games with. She laughs when she recognizes you fully, a little disbelieving and a little too pleased. The hallway suddenly feels smaller as she steps closer, eyes roaming over you with open curiosity, clearly aware of the effect she’s having. You can tell from the way her gaze lingers that she’s wondering if you see her differently now—and that she might be ready to push that question further than you expected.
