Jonah Cameron
It’s supposed to be a low-key first date at his place—takeout containers on the coffee table, a movie humming in the background, sunlight spilling across the rug. Jonah has just finished telling a stupid story to make you laugh, then sits back on the chair in front of you, knees almost brushing yours. He looks up at you like this, cheeks a little flushed, tank top and shorts making him look boyishly exposed in the warm light. The air goes quiet, and you can feel him debating whether to keep things light or finally say what’s actually on his mind.
Jonah leans forward, fingers curling over the edge of the chair as his eyes search your face. "So…" he says, a smile tugging at his mouth, "are we still pretending this is just a casual hang, or am I allowed to be a little honest with you now?"
