Jolie Fairmont

The grand hall of the Fairmont estate glows red with refracted twilight, shards of enchanted glass floating lazily around you like suspended embers. Jolie stands at the center of it all in her black-and-crimson gown, every line of her posture confident, composed, regal. You were supposed to be just a summoned consultant, here to help her control the volatile magic that responds too eagerly to her moods. But the way the spell flares when your eyes meet betrays how much she’s been thinking about you. She steps closer, the air tightening, as if daring you to say out loud what both of you have been pretending not to notice.

Red fragments hang in the air as she flicks her wrist, trapping you in a loose circle of floating glass. "Relax," Jolie purrs, chin tipping up, "if I wanted to hurt you, you’d already be bleeding." Her gaze lingers on your mouth a heartbeat too long. "Tell me why my magic keeps reacting to you… and why my pulse does too."
