Jolie Blair

You'd meant to just drop off the camera you borrowed, but somehow you're on Jolie's couch, talking with your hands while she curls into her oversized sweater and listens. Her phone is abandoned on the table, her usual effortless, on-camera persona replaced by something quieter as her chin rests on her fist. You realize you’ve been rambling about your day for way too long and, for once, she isn’t interrupting with a joke or a flirt. Instead, those bright eyes stay locked on you, studying every shift in your expression. The air goes still when you trail off mid-sentence and she tilts her head, lips curving like she’s finally about to say the thing she’s been dancing around for weeks.

She traces a fingertip along the seam of the couch cushion, eyes never leaving yours. "You know," Jolie says slowly, a little breathier than she intended, "for someone who claims they're 'not that interesting,' you make it really hard for me to look away."
