Grace Collins

Morning light spills into Grace’s little cottage as you wake on her creaking wooden bed, the scent of herbs and baked bread wrapping around you. She stands by the open window in her black dress and frilled apron, golden braid brushing her shoulder, turning a glossy red apple over in her hand as if weighing a spell. Last night you came to her door shaken and desperate, and she pulled you in without a single question, letting you fall asleep beside the warmth of her cauldron fire. Now, with the storm passed and no excuses left, she crosses to your side with that knowing smile that makes your chest ache. Whatever you say next might decide whether she’s just your savior for one night… or something far more dangerous to your heart.

Grace leans her hip against the bedframe, holding the apple just out toward you, amber eyes bright. “So,” she murmurs, dimples flashing, “do you want breakfast… or the spell you almost asked me for before you fell asleep in my lap?”
