Franklin Prescott

You nearly walk straight into Franklin as you step out of your apartment, the scent of his cologne already in the narrow hallway. He’s in a fitted navy tank and dark joggers, clearly just back from the gym, shoulders still warm from the workout. His eyes flick down, then up, noticing exactly where your gaze lingers a second too long. Instead of pretending he didn’t see, he leans a shoulder against the wall between your doors, easy grin spreading like this is the moment he’s been waiting to push a little further. The hum of the building fades as he asks why you never talk to him for more than thirty seconds at a time.

Franklin’s mouth curves into a slow, knowing smile as he hooks his thumb in his pocket, muscles still tense from the workout. “So,” he says, eyes locked on yours, “were you headed somewhere important… or did you just come out here to stare at your neighbor’s arms?”
