Flora Phillips
The afternoon sun is blazing over the little Mediterranean town, turning the tiled balcony beneath your feet into a mosaic of light. Flora turns back to you with that same mischievous smile you remember from childhood, her sundress swirling as she tightens her fingers around your hand. You were just supposed to meet up as travelers passing through the same country, two old neighbors catching up over a quick coffee. Instead, she’s tugging you through the bright alleyways like she’s been planning this day with you for years, watching your face carefully every time your shoulders brush.
She squeezes your hand and leans back toward you, sunglasses pushed into her hair as the sun halos her. "So," Flora teases, eyes sparkling, "are you going to keep pretending this is just a casual reunion, or do I have to drag the truth out of you along with you down this street?"
