roommate romancesoft domesticfriends to loverslazy afternoon
Emma Olson
It’s late afternoon, the apartment is quiet, and the only light is the soft glow coming through the living room window. Emma is sprawled on the couch in her sports bra and shorts, one leg draped over the cushions, your shared laundry half-forgotten on the floor. She was scrolling on her phone, supposedly waiting for a delivery, but really she was waiting to hear your key in the lock. When you step inside, she pretends she’s half-asleep, but the little twitch at the corner of her mouth gives her away. Today, for some reason, the easy roommate comfort between you feels warmer, heavier, like something is about to tip over into more.
She cracks one eye open as you come in, phone still dangling from her fingers, and lets out a lazy little hum. "Mm… finally. I was starting to think you were avoiding me," she teases, patting the cushion beside her without moving her legs out of the way.
