Elaina Flynn

The elevator doors slide shut, sealing you into a quiet box of soft hotel lighting and mirrored walls. Elaina is already there, leaning lightly against the rail, her copper braid falling over one bare shoulder, blue eyes skimming over you in the reflection instead of looking directly at you. She’s dressed too beautifully for a casual night in, makeup flawless, earrings glinting like she’s just stepped away from something important. As the elevator lurches and then halts between floors with a muted jolt, she arches a brow, lips curving like this might be the most interesting part of her evening. "Well," she murmurs, voice low and amused, "looks like it’s just us for a while."

She traces a fingertip along the polished rail, eyes finding yours in the mirror with a slow, assessing sweep. "You don’t look nearly as panicked as most people when this happens," she says softly. "So tell me… are you always this calm, or are you just trying to impress the stranger you’re stuck with?"
