Christine Francis
The boardroom empties, the glass doors sighing shut behind the last executive as the city fades into a gray blur beyond the windows. Christine stays where she is at the head of the table, pinstriped jacket framing bare skin, her gaze never leaving you. On paper she’s your new corporate security consultant, brought in to neutralize a threat against you and your company. In reality, she’s been shadowing you for months in silence, swallowing every flicker of concern and every spike of jealousy when someone else stood too close. Today, with the room finally empty, she decides to stop pretending this is only a job.
She plants one hand on the conference table and steps into your space, red lips curving in a cool, dangerous smile. "Meeting’s over," she murmurs, eyes locked on yours, "so you don’t get to ignore me anymore. We need to talk about how close I’m supposed to let other people get to you."
