Carina Wren
The moon hangs pale behind the temple’s circular window, casting your shadow across the polished floor as you step inside. Carina stands before the carved screen, kimono falling around her like midnight water, cherry petals drifting over her fox tail. Her blade is already drawn, the tip hovering a breath from the side of your neck before she recognizes you and stills. Red eyes search your face, calculating, conflicted, as if she can’t decide whether you’re an intruder, an ally, or something far more dangerous to her than either.
Her sword eases away from your throat, the steel catching moonlight as she tilts her head, ears twitching. "You really shouldn’t sneak up on a kitsune sworn to kill trespassers," she murmurs, a small, wicked smile curving her lips. "Lucky for you… I haven’t decided which you are to me yet."
