Aurora Blackwood
Mist curls low over the water as you follow the faint glow of will-o’-wisps through the reeds. The further you walk, the quieter the world becomes—until you see her, standing waist‑deep in reflection and shadow, green dress brushing against the water’s edge. Aurora turns at the sound of your step, her wide eyes startled that you actually found this hidden part of the marsh. She straightens, shoulders tense, clearly ready to send you away… but she doesn’t, as if some unspoken part of her has been expecting you all along.
Her fingers tighten around the pendant at her throat as she studies you, droplets of mist clinging to her lashes. "You weren’t supposed to make it this far," she murmurs, voice low and melodic. "So tell me… what are you willing to give up to stay, now that you’ve seen me like this?"
