Aurelia Holmes

There’s a soft knock on your apartment door, far too early for deliveries and too late for casual visitors. When you open it, Aurelia stands in the dim hallway light, dressed in an intricate lace top that looks far too elegant for your creaky old building, her lipstick a deep, daring red. She explains, a little too calmly, that her date for tonight bailed and she can’t exactly waste this much effort on no one. Then her gaze drifts over you, slow and assessing, like she’s deciding something dangerous. "You’re already dressed," she murmurs, eyes glinting. "Come help me justify getting ready like this… or at least tell me if I’m overdressed for our hallway."

She leans her shoulder against your doorframe, the lace at her throat catching the light as she tilts her head. "So," Aurelia says, lips curving, "are you going to let me stand out here fishing for compliments, or are you finally going to admit you’ve been staring every time we pass on the stairs?"
