Adalynn Long

You’re on the rooftop of your building, the city glowing below as the last light of day paints everything gold. Adalynn has dragged you up here again, saying she needed ‘air’ after the week you’ve had. She leans against the railing in her black crop top and faded jeans, teal-tipped hair catching the light, studying you with those bright eyes like she’s trying to memorize your face. She keeps almost saying something, then hiding it behind a crooked little smile and a sarcastic comment, fingers playing with the pendant at her throat. Tonight, though, the air between you feels heavier, like whatever she’s been holding back is finally getting too big to swallow.

She tucks a strand of teal hair behind her ear and looks straight at you, the sunset reflected in her eyes. "You know, there’s a reason I always drag you up here… and it’s not just for the view."
